Appointments and finding nearby care
Save appointments with a reminder, add them to your calendar, and find nearby clinics, urgent care and pharmacies.
Save an appointment
Kentra cannot book an appointment with a doctor's office for you. Call or book with the office first. Then tell Kentra about it, for example: "I have a dentist appointment on May 3 at 2pm."
- Kentra saves it and sets a reminder one hour before.
- Tap Add to calendar on the appointment card to add it to your phone's calendar.
- To see what is coming up, ask "What appointments do I have?"
- To change or cancel one, just tell Kentra.
Find care nearby
Ask in chat, for example "urgent care near me" or "pharmacy near 80202". Kentra can look for hospitals, urgent care, clinics, pharmacies, counseling and support groups.
You will see up to five places with their distance and rating, and two buttons: Call and Open in Maps.
How Kentra knows where you are
Kentra uses a place you name first, then your phone's location if you allow it, then the ZIP code in your profile. If none of these is available, it asks you. Your location is only used roughly (about half a mile) and only while you are using the app.
Good to know
- Place results come from Google. Kentra does not recommend any provider. Check that a place takes your insurance.
- You can ask about a hospital's Medicare quality ratings.
- For an emergency, do not search. Call 911.
