Emergencies, crisis help and your emergency info
What to do in an emergency, what Kentra can and cannot do, and where to save an emergency contact.
If someone may be in danger right now
- Call 911 (or your local emergency number) now. Do not drive yourself.
- For thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or text HOME to 741741.
These numbers are for the United States. Outside the U.S., use your local emergency number.
If you mention an emergency or a crisis in chat, Kentra replies with these numbers as buttons you can tap, instead of a normal answer.
What Kentra cannot do
- Kentra cannot call or text anyone, or alert your emergency contact or family.
- Kentra does not detect falls or watch over you in the background.
- Kentra has no lock-screen emergency card.
Save your emergency info
- Open the menu (☰), tap Profile, then Emergency.
- On the Medical tab, add allergies, conditions, your primary care doctor and your current medicines.
- On the Emergency tab, add one emergency contact: their name, phone number and relationship to you.
- Tap Save Changes.
Your blood type is saved separately under Profile › Basics.
Need care soon, but it is not an emergency?
Ask Kentra, for example "urgent care near me". See finding nearby care.
