Send photos, PDFs and audio in chat
Attach a photo of a medicine label or lab report, or a PDF or recording, and let Kentra add it to your records.
How to attach something
- In any chat, tap + next to the message box.
- Choose Camera, Photo Library, File (a PDF or audio file), or Visit document (something you already saved under Doctor visits).
- Add a short message if you like, and send.
Limits
- Up to 3 photos in one message. Send the rest in a follow-up.
- Up to 3 files in one message.
- Each file can be up to 25 MB.
What Kentra does with them
Kentra reads photos of medicine labels, pill bottles, lab reports and similar papers. It can add what it finds to your records, such as medicines, readings, lab results, allergies or conditions, and tells you what it saved. Before adding any new medicine, Kentra runs a safety check.
- Files you attach are also saved under Home › Records › Doctor visits, so you can find them later.
- PDFs are read as text. A scanned PDF (a picture of a page) may not have readable text.
- Audio files are written out as text. This needs Voice Input turned on.
Good to know
- Word and plain text files may not upload. Save the document as a PDF, or paste the text into your message.
- To add a medicine from a label photo, send the photo in chat. The Add Medication form has no camera.
- Photos need Image Analysis turned on under Profile › Privacy & Account.
