Connect Health Connect
Bring readings from Health Connect on Android, including apps like Samsung Health, into Kentra.
What Kentra brings in
Kentra copies readings from Health Connect into your Kentra record. It only reads. That includes height, weight, body fat, heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen, temperature, breathing rate, steps, active calories and sleep.
- Apps like Samsung Health work if they share their data with Health Connect.
- Health Connect does not share birthday, sex or blood type. Enter them under Profile › Personal Info and Basics.
Connect it
Start from the setup step, from Home › Add more, or from the menu (☰) › Profile › Devices › Add a device. Then:
- Tap Continue on Before you sync.
- On the Health Connect permission screen, allow what you want to share.
- The import runs in the background. A notification tells you when it is done.
Keeping it up to date
New readings sync each time you open Kentra. To sync right away, open Profile › Devices and tap Sync now.
Nothing imported?
- If Health Connect is not installed, Kentra offers Open Health Connect so you can get it from Google Play.
- If permissions were turned down, open Health Connect › App permissions › Kentra, allow the data, and try again.
Stop or remove
- Pause syncing: Profile › Devices › Stop syncing.
- Stop Kentra reading your data: turn Kentra off in the Health Connect app.
- Delete what was already brought in: Profile › Devices › Remove imported data. This does not change anything in Health Connect itself.
