What Kentra brings in

Kentra copies readings from Apple Health into your Kentra record. It only reads; it never changes anything in Apple Health. That includes body measurements, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen, glucose, temperature, steps, sleep, nutrition, water and mindful minutes.

Watches and rings such as Oura, Whoop and Fitbit reach Kentra through Apple Health. Workouts, distance, ECG readings and hospital records are not brought in.

Connect it

Start from the setup step Import from Apple Health, from Home › Add more, or from the menu (☰) › Profile › Devices › Add a device. Then:

  1. Read Before you sync and tap Continue.
  2. On Apple's permission screen, choose what to allow.
  3. The import runs in the background. You can see its progress on Home and the Lock Screen.
  4. A notification says "Health import finished" when it is done.

How syncing works

  • The first import covers the past 12 months.
  • Readings are combined into one value per day.
  • Your birthday, sex, height, weight and blood type only fill in blank fields. They never replace what you typed.
  • New readings sync each time you open Kentra. Kentra does not sync while it is closed.
  • To sync right away, tap Sync now under Profile › Devices.

Nothing came through?

Apple does not tell apps when access was refused, so an empty import usually means permission is off. Open the Health app, tap your picture › Privacy › Apps › Kentra Health, and turn on the categories you want. Then tap Sync now.

Stop or remove

  • Stop syncing: Profile › Devices › Stop syncing.
  • Stop Kentra reading your data: in the Health app, turn off access for Kentra Health.
  • Delete what was already brought in: Profile › Devices › Remove imported data. Turning off access alone does not delete anything.

Your readings are stored on Kentra's servers in the U.S. (not in iCloud), and are never used for ads or to train AI.
